Problems continue. I tried making typecase_spaces.pdf and could not copy out into WordPad, Word 97 and SC Unipad without the spaces each converting to U+0020 and I tried making typecase_combination_border_private_use_area.pdf and found that I could not copy out into WordPad (I got an array of spots...

I think it would be useful if you post an article that explains when to use which quotation mark (although it is language specific), and also explain how to cope with Auto Correct features that replace a combination of characters into a corresponding symbol. For example when you type (c) in Microsof...

I think you need to edit or make a GSUB table, and specify which form of your characters is needed in each context. Check out the Microsoft Typography web site for information on making OpenType fonts. There are free tools, some specs, and even some articles explaining how to use their Visual OpenTy...

What people think about e.g. light red sample characters in slots to help vertical placing of drawing? The idea was introduced in January this year during the beta period of version 1 by an old friend. And is still in use AFAIK... This was my response: Your alternative template has several benefits...

Re: Multi Page Template and Customizer

If the tests indicate that at the top of the template page printed Data Matrix Barcode is reliable, then separate xml files aren't needed. I believe they are reliable because they are used in e.g. aeroplane parts logistics and post traffic tracking. The Barcode can store the same page related infor...

It is not possible to make single stroke TrueType or OpenType fonts, because the glyph shapes consist of a series of closed contours and (most of the time) you need open contours to make a single line font. When TrueType fonts are advertised as single line fonts, be sure they really are. So ask the ...

I was not able to watch the video, I only heard someone talking about Spiro. It seems the Intel ITU H.264 (h264) codec is not installed. I've just installed it and took another look. It looks very impressive, but I'm not sure if and how it could benefit people who use FontCreator. Maybe FontCreator ...
