Re: Moving

The only way I see to move it with the transform wizard is if I decompose composites first. But then I lose the advantage of composites. Is there any way to transform them without decomposing first?

Re: Moving

I have a font with about a hundred composite glyphs that are made up of two glyphs. Each glyph has only these two member glyphs and I need to move all these member glyphs (within the composite glyph) 150 units units horizontally. I tried Glyph Transformer but apparently it only works on outlines. Do...

Moving

Is there any way to move composite member glyphs en masse as you can with regular glyphs using the glyph transformer?

Re: Vn 6.0 Import Image

Aha, the transform wizard, I didn't think of that.

But how will it know which images to place into which glyphs? Does it go by the order they are sorted in Windows Explorer?

Re: Vn 6.0 Import Image

Does this work for other languages? And how do you control the size of the vector arts when they are imported?

Re: Importing EPS glyphs into Font Creator

Yes, of course, but the big supposed advantage of being able to import and eps file is that it's vector so you should be able to have the same bezier points and curves and it will be EXACTLY as the original. As far as importing images go, FC is just as good if not better than FontLab at tracing the ...

Re: Add OpenType editor

I agree, I would rather not see programming effort go towards implementing OpenType features. FontLab spent a lot of programming effort implementing OpenType features and so far it's practically useless. It is very limited, and worse yet, it isn't compatible with the more advanced OpenType editors l...

Re: Importing EPS glyphs into Font Creator

Did I hear FontCreator 6? Will this upgrade be coming soon? I will be first in line to purchase an upgrade. I have so impressed with FontCreator. While FontLab may have more features I find FontCreator's implementation of the features so much easier to use vs. FontLab. Just before I posted this I wa...

Re: Importing EPS glyphs into Font Creator

This really isn't necessary. If you scale the vector to a really big size you can copy and paste it straight to FontCreator and it will be just as good.

I am also using Vista and use FontCreator almost every day and haven't had any problems. I don't use Photoshop, but I do run InDesign and Acrobat at the same time.

I don't know if this is possible, but I think the best thing would be to give the user the ability to make templates according to the Unicode ranges they choose. This way you wouldn't have to worry how many characters there are etc. (I myself don't know how many characters are necessary for Arabic, ...

Other languages

Does Scanahand support other languages like Hebrew or Arabic or is it only for English?

If it's only for English that would be my request to support more languages ;).

Aha, I see what you mean.

It's probably not that useful to most people anyway, I just have this particular job where it would make it much easier.

I only use Windows, but these fonts are being used by Windows and Mac users. Unfortunately, because I don't own a Mac I only get to find out when there are problems :).

But I will try to get screenshots from the Mac users and post them here as soon as I can.
