after exporting your font>right click on font file>Rename....then delete Regular word.

Also you could change the file name from font properties panel and go to Master tap.... Just try

I think it is a windows problem, not related to FontCrator... i have some files on my PC unable to delete it too.... maybe need some spacial software to remove it.

Try this.... go to C:>windows> fonts
Then select your fonts and delete it.

Variable font with a bug, when double clicked inside edit glyph window for (composite glyphs); also i have attached a reproduce video .

Test text attached, maybe the problem with my system, but I had checked other fonts it was worked well, only that font was with bug.
