Unfortunately, I cannot understand your post, so I have no idea what doesn't work, and what should be fixed, or by whom.

I appreciate that English is not your first language, but at least try to break your post into short logical paragraphs.

Re: The Endangered Alphabets Project

These scripts are disappearing because they have outlived their usefulness. Just let them go — its the way of nature for old trees to die and to be replaced by new ones. If the ancient literature is of any value to modern society it will have been remembered, retold, and transliterated to modern scr...

Re: why the cell is invisible after click "test" button

Those glyphs have no mapping so they will not show in the Font Test window or other applications.

Glyphs must be mapped to a suitable Unicode character code so that users can type them in Windows applications.

Re: Problem with kerning for Hebrew fonts in Word

Backup your font.

From the format menu, open the Tables dialogue and delete the kerning table.

Reinstall the new font and try again.

Re: jagged appearance - smoothing - hinting

Yes, sorry I got my acronyms mixed up — I was actually thinking of VOLT, but got my WEFT and WOFF warped — VTT is what you would need to add hinting. Yes — all known available free tools have a steep learning curve. TypeTool would be a cheaper alternative to FontLab Studio 5. I don't know how it com...

Can you attach a sample font for us to look at? I presume that you have added kerning to the font yourself?

Re: Horizontal line Inconsistent

Yes, it looks like a problem caused by lack of hinting.

See the advice in this thread about enabling font smoothing. Making the horizontal lines thicker may be the easiest solution.

Re: jagged appearance - smoothing - hinting

I think the only solution is to add hinting information with another application such as WOFF.

FontCreator doesn't currently support the adding of character hinting.

Re: Horizontal line Inconsistent

I am not able to see what is wrong with the font as I don't know what is missing. Are the horizontal lines still missing if you increase the font size in the sample window to 72 points? If so, its probably because the font lacks hinting information. Attaching Screen Shots Crop the image to show just...

Re: HP 2035 printer driver can't handle old TTF font

I was able to install the font in Windows XP Home SP3 and the font appeared in the PagePlus font list allowing me to make the attached test. MICRA Font.png The font contains no Alpha Glyphs, no Unicode Ranges, and No Code pages. I'm not sure what you need to add to make it work in your version of Wi...

Re: How to make music notation

Calculating the exact height of the glyphs for a given point size from the font metrics is complicated . I recommend an empirical approach. — Just print your font at a large point size and measure it. Calculate the percentage change you need to get the desired result. Without grid-fitting and hintin...

Try calculating the supported ranges and code pages in Format, Settings, Ranges.

Uninstall the font, and reinstall the updated version.

Re: Horizzontal lines without resize errors

This is one of the FAQs. At small sizes, the lines have to be rendered with a fixed number of pixels — 2,3 or whatever. Some lines may come out as 3 pixels while others are only 2. To overcome this problem most fonts have hinting information added to the font. FontCreator doesn't currently support c...
