Maybe the font contains a substitution from space to .notdef.
I'm not in the office right now, but will take a look at it tomorrow morning if still needed.

Re: Lock one glyph when using Align toolbar
Maybe you accidentally set the "Use this glyph's metrics" on the mark glyph instead of the base glyph?

Re: Colour Blocks One
I don't think it supports color fonts.
Congrats with the new PC! I think you will be able to freely upgrade Windows to version 10 later this year. Hopefully that comes with more and better color fonts support.

Re: Setting License Agreement field for multiple EULAs
Since other font designers haven't commented, I'll give it a shot:
You could provide a general license agreement, which includes the differentiation between the specific license types you offer.

Re: Variation selectors
Unicode variation sequences are currently not supported by FontCreator. This is the first time someone even asked about this, so my guess is most people don't even know what this is. But more important, most people don't even need them, so adding this to FontCreator has a very low priority.

They also want to see FontCreator 9 beta, which I haven't send yet. So I guess I'm part of the delay.

Re: MyFonts rejects fonts created from FontCreator?
People from MyFonts are still testing FontCreator, but I've just received an update. They haven't completed their audit yet, but so far they seem to like our font editor. Currently their main concern is the fact FontCreator has no way of editing CFF based outlines. The lack of more advanced Metric a...

Re: Looking for InDesign plugin
Of course it is still in development. The last major release is only 5 months old! It contains several powerful new features like tagging, and synchronized font folders. For several reasons we put a hold on writing new plug-ins. Things might change in the future, but hopefully MainType has enough ad...

Re: Outlines distorted when open OTF fonts
There is a bug which in rare circumstances results in malformed curves during the CFF based to TrueType based outlines conversion.
We do have a bug fix for existing customers, so do contact me and I'll send you a link to the new release.

The preview window has no hinting. You will need a license to really see how an exported font looks.

Re: Removing Duplicates and Other Feature Requests
Hi there , I'm using this App (Maintype 6) since a half year. Now I have a library of more than 1,000 fonts. After combining all my font sources to one folder there are a lot of duplicates. Why MT6 cannot find and delete duplicates ? I have to use a third party tool to find all duplicates and remov...

Re: MyFonts rejects fonts created from FontCreator?
Oh, interesting. So then there are two questions: 1) Is there any difference in the font file created between any of the Font Creator software versions, in that, do the non-professional versions create a file that is limited in some way? The only difference is the fact you are not allowed to use th...

Re: Main Type Vault
I think this issue is not related to the vault. For the currently selected font, MainType tries to verify if the known resource locations are still valid. It should not show the dialog, but silently continue. I'll add this bug to our bug list.

Re: How to save limited font in trial version 8.0
Actually I need to make one correction. During the trial period you can still test fonts through the Font Test dialog, but during the trial period auto hinting is disabled, and fonts won't be available for other applications.Erwin Denissen wrote:The only way to test a font is through the Preview toolwindow.
