When I open a font and -after changing ony its name- install it, I notice that line spacing increases dramatically. The original font has 10 lines of text when the newly installed version has only 8. This is most unwelcome. Metrics in both fonts are identical.

Re: Previous hinting preserved
This is rather disappointing, because automatic hints inevitably are inferior to hand made hints in quality fonts. Would it be possible to add the option to preserve existing hints, or, as an alternative, to select the glyphs which should receive aitomatic hints?

Previous hinting preserved
I wonder what happens when a font is autohinted. Will autohinting effect all glyphs or only those those glyphs which have no hints? In other words: will existing hints be preserved or replaced by autonhints?

Re: Font Letter Width Issue
I fail to see the problem, but I noticed that the zero character has a wrong spacing.

Re: Problem with kerning for Hebrew fonts in Word
I don't blame Microsoft Word for not recognising characters in the PUA as letters, as it has no way of knowing to what category PUA characters belong. But I think it should be quite simple for Microsoft to make Word recognise characters as letters when they *are* letters according to the Unicode dat...

Re: Problem with kerning for Hebrew fonts in Word
In my experience kerning in Microsoft Word doesn't work correctly in each and every situation. In classical Greek it doesn't, in modern Greek it does. It seems to me that Word only recognises a small portion of all possible Unicode characters as *letters* and treats the rest as symbols. A regular, m...

Of course, you're right. Silly me: pressing Enter woud have done the job. Sorry to have bothered you.

[NO BUG] Bug in editing of kerning values?
When I'm editing kerning values by *typing* a value, the screen doesn't reflect the changes I've made. It only does so when I use the up and down arrows. Is this a known bug?

[Resolved] Postscript Names Removed in PUA
Version 6.1 doesn't read (or even removes, I don't know which) the Postscript names I gave to characters in the PUA. I find these names are very convenient. Is there a reason for this change?

Re: minor bug in 6.1?
The same behaviour can be seen in the 'Composite Glyph Properties' screen. Typing different numbers in the X/Y Position fields cannot be seen in the position of the composing element.

[FIXED] minor bug in 6.1?
When editing the properties of a glyph the values following "White space before/after character" do not change when I *type* the desired values under 'Glyph Metrics' until I click OK; they only change when I use the arrows to increase or decrease the numbers. I believe this behaviour is ne...

Thanks for the new version, but: the registration key I got for 6.0 is invalid. Do I really need to buy an upgrade?
