Re: font editor
You could also take a look at Your Fonts to see if that service is enough for your needs.

Re: need help: alphabet that change its dots
I found your earlier thread under a different username. It is hard for us to help with Arabic fonts. Currently, you need to use 3rd party software to add OpenType features. Is use OpenType Compiler as I find it much easier than VOLT. Try Format, Settings, Ranges, Calculate Unicode ranges and code-pa...

Re: Garava Update
Updated to version 2.5 Added a full set of Ordinals and superscripts. These can be accessed using OpenType Features. The Bold and Heavy Typefaces have improved contrast between thick and thin strokes, and lighter serifs. Petite Capital glyphs were removed. The Small Capitals and Bold Small Capitals...

Re: Default Line-spacing
That fixes the check-box, but unfortunately it doesn't affect the line-spacing in PagePlus, Oo Writer, or Wordpad. Nor does it change the line spacing in the Font Test window.

Re: Default Line-spacing
It will only be enabled if you set the Content and Layout version (available in the Header page) to Version 4. I don't think this has anything to do with your mentioned problem, but unfortunately I don't not what is causing the issue. With my Talapanna font, I enabled Content and layout version 4, ...

Re: Font Creation Date 1st January 1904
IIRC there was some reason that Erwin gave, why FontCreator did this intentionally.

Now that PagePlus X5 supports OpenType features, I am in the process of updating my free fonts. Even if you don't have PagePlus, you can install and use the fonts, but you won't be able to use the extra Smart Font technology to access the extra glyphs unless you have a program that supports those fe...

Re: Default Line-spacing
By trial and error I found that a value of 1991 for WinAscent and -466 for WinDescent (total 2,457) gives the result that I want, but why is still a mystery to me. Maybe a long standing bug with rounding errors in PagePlus. A difference of 0.026 points may seem insignificant, but it can make the dif...

Font Creation Date 1st January 1904
I am sure I have asked this before, but cannot find the previous post. Why are some of my fonts shown as created on 1st January 1904? I am getting on a bit, which is my excuse for not remembering the answer, but I'm not that old!

Re: Is Scanahand for me?
Vietnamese fonts require lots of letters with diacritical marks (accents). To get a consistent design by filling in templates for Scanahand is really not practical, although theoretically possible with the Premium Edition. Also the font will be much larger than necessary. Vietnamese characters use c...

Re: Default Line-spacing
I confirmed that it is not due to patches or updates in PagePlus. PagePlus 9 also spaces 10 point Garava at 12.026 points instead of the expected 12.002 points.
A value of 1996 for the WinAscent with -467 for WinDescent would be expected to give the result of 12.026 points.

Re: New Variables for Font Catalogues
While updating my online font catalogue I ran into this problem again. After exporting the font catalogue to disk, I need to use Batch Text Replace wizard to find and replace C:\Documents and Settings\Bhikkhu Pesala\My Documents\My Fonts\Serif Applications\{Group Folder Name} With {Group Folder Name...

Re: Default Line-spacing
It will only be enabled if you set the Content and Layout version (available in the Header page) to Version 4. Thanks. That highlights a problem with the dialogue using my 10 pt Verdana system font. Its very easy to enable the checkbox when trying to click the Maximum radio button. There is some ro...
