Re: Some glyphs are not displaying
You should have seen a trial dialog which explains only a subset of the characters will be saved:
However, no worries. During the evaluation period you can save the full font project. And as soon as you have bought a license, you'll be able to save the full font.- Fri Jul 12, 2013 2:03 pm

That is indeed the best solution for now.

Re: Preview Truncates Test Characters
We did indeed set the limit of characters in the preview area to 255, as with very complex fonts (you know what I'm talking bout), it would become so slow.
I'll see if we can find a better solution, so it will only truncate text when displaying complex characters.

Re: Better display and control of auto change and save funct
Thank you for your feedback. It helps us understand what people like about our software, and where there is room for improvements! When we first released FontCreator over 15 years ago our goal was to provide affordable font editing software which provides full control of all internal tables. So Font...

Re: Colors Join OpenType Font Format
Could a future version of Scanahand support colour fonts? It could be possible, but we'll first have to wait for the specs. Here is how it will work: There is a base glyph / fallback glyph in case one doesn't want color enabled fonts. colorglyphsbase.png And one or more glyphs; each with a palette ...

Re: TTF edited in FontCreator fails in cmd.exe
We will most likely release another maintenance release later this week, which will be more strict, to ensure code pages are only considered functional when most of the relevant characters are actually located in the font.

Re: TTF edited in FontCreator fails in cmd.exe
You solved it before I could even provide support, but I'm glad you've found your way into FontCreator! The reason why FontCreator detects the font contains characters from Windows Codepage: 932 (Japanese Shift-JIS) is because numerous Greek and Cyrillic characters are part of that codepage. Actuall...

Re: FontCreator and colour fonts
If High-Logic implements the colour fonts tables, could High-Logic consider producing a software facility so that each of those unmapped glyphs could become named by entering .fill in a textbox somewhere and clicking a button please? We will first have to wait for the specs before we can oversee al...

Re: Kerning doesn't work
Confirmed, and fixed in version 7.0.1.456, released just a minute ago. Although there is nothing wrong with the font file (technically speaking), it seems Microsoft Word refuses to process any kerning from the kern table if it detects one or more of the glyphs within a kern pair is not mapped to a U...

They should be in the same folder, but there is one exception. It is also accepted if the PFB is one folder up.

Colors Join OpenType Font Format
Over the years numerous people talked about Color Fonts , and there have been several experiments with this, but so far no adapted standardization. For example: Mozilla - Fonts with multi-colored, animated glyphs (through SVG) Google - fonts with embedded color images Apple Color Emoji - A font whic...
