Re: Exporting/importing kern values errors?

Manual kerning (...) using shortcuts Shift Left, Ctrl Left, and Left cursor to adjust values saves a lot of clicking around. I was trying to use this combinations, but I seem not to be shrewd enough to figure out where to Shift/Control/Left+click (or mabe I expect a wrong effect:/. Could you please...

Re: Flexibility

Not everyone is going to have a wide screen monitor. That's why I shown all docks as separate menus ("Properties", "Mapping", "Transform") that everyone can arrange to suit their needs ans the screen size. Sorry for the size of my screenshot (I admit, I wanted to empha...

Re: Format, Character, Position, Pair Kerning.

Thank you. I'll search for the required switches then.

Flexibility

Just a few suggestions about the things that become very clear after a few weeks of testing FCP. I hope that the following pictures are self-explainatory, but I look forward to your comment. There's one thing not shown: exporting/Importing guidelines to a file (that would be brilliant too, so please...

Too much kerning?

I've recently spent a few nights adding nearly 16000 kerning pairs to my geometrized font, just to realise, that it seem to be ignored in Photoshop CS 3, Open Office 2.4... Everywhere!

Can that be caused by the amount of kerning pairs? Or shall I enable kerning somewhere in these programs?

You're right.

Sorry, I have to admit that I'm really obsessed with this option. No more nagging.

Designing fonts in AutoCAD? That's exactly what I'm doing. It's brilliant- the control that you'll not find anywhere else. The only disadvantage is the need to redraw glyphs in a software that saves font files...

Re: basic vector import support for ai, eps, pdf

That sounds very interesting! Anyway, I'm very curious if there would be a chance of implementing zooming by mouse scroll. I truly encourage everyone to see how does it work like in AutoCAD if you haven't try it yet- I have no slightest doubt that this tiny GUIless bit of code is a priceless improve...

Re: real new features

Huh, in the end they seem to be clearly overlooked by me:/. Thanks! Is there any shortcut for the "knife" that cuts glyph edges and insert points on the intersections? I would argue, though, with interpretation of the "real new features"- if there will be no efficient control ove...

Re: CTL-Scroll Zoom-In and Zoom-Out

Superthanks! Anyway- try AutoCAD- you'll love it (and there will be three of us (with youremailme ), not being able to live without it and begging for implementation;)! Without touching keyboard, without rolling pointer to click an icon... Scroll > Zoom +- Middle mouse button > Pan Double-clicked mi...

Interface and shortcuts

Font Creator. I love it. I hate it. It is such a brilliant and powerful tool, that can irritate a bit(/so much;) if you have ever entered the world of CAD and/or 3D modeling- a world in which you can be... ten times faster. Please, don't shoot the messenger- at least not before he will tell you how ...

Scroll to zoom, middle button to pan!

I agree with youemailme . The absolutely best (most convenient/fastest) way of zooming and panning at the moment is using scroll wheel and middle button (pressing scroll button in 98% contemporary mouses). Don't trust me- launch AutoCAD/Archicad and try it yourself! That will be the last time you'll...
