I'm working on a font which I cannot save after sorting the glyphs. FontCreator reports a Range check error. Any idea what causes this problem?

Your problems are not related to font creating. I think you need a keyboard driver which doesn't print anything when you press U V W X Y Z u v w x y z. I suggest Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator which is available at the Microsoft site for free (http://www.microsoft.com/globaldev/tools/msklc.mspx)....

Vusillus has Open Type support for Hebrew. It's part of Ralph Hancock's Antioch: http:...

Right-to-left writing is problematic in regular Windows versions. Have a look here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=311019 . One important quote from that page: In order to type in and edit right-to-left languages in a Microsoft Word document, you must install a localized version of M...

To accomplish what you want you need to do two completely different things. One thing is creating the composite glyphs you need, like ba in your example. Then assign a Unicode value to the new glyph, preferably one in the Private Use Area. If you leave the mapping empty Windows will not be able to l...

The rasterizer decides which pixels to switch on and off based on numerical values in the glyph. In many cases rounding differences occur. This explains the different look at ...
