Hi William, I don't mind if you post a link every now and then, but in my opinion this is overkill. I visit over 100's of font related links every month, but only post here when I really believe it's useful to other visitors of the forum. Your post looks more like an online favorites storage. I migh...

Scanahand is Unable to Process your Template

Scanahand can handle 99.9% of all templates, but sometimes it refuses to recognize a template. So far we have received two complaints about this, and both times it was due to poor quality templates. The image below shows a poor scan on the left. Scanahand failed to detect the template because the ho...

Last time someone came to me with a similar problem, it was because he was using a cracked version of our software. The illegal version also contained a virus that destroyed several critical system files, so in the end he had to reinstall Windows. Now he is a paid and happy customer. Please make sur...

Hi william,

This request is out of scope of FontCreator. You should prepare the image you want to import through your image editing software. Apply filters, or whatever is needed to clean it up. That way you have endless ways to improve your image.

I'm running FontCreator on Windows Vista without any problems. Maybe you have anti-virus software that causes the delays/ hangs.

You should first install the latest version. Your version is outdated. Next take a close look at OpenType layout features. Just search this forum and you'll discover several posts that might help.

Sure just download MainType from our download page and then follow the activation process as explained in the message you received right after you ordered the software. To be sure I've just resent the message.

Even Worse, I just found out that OpenType (OTF) Files behave the same way. Then Windows fails to find the required font driver from Adobe. sfc/scan It checks if there has been changes to important Files of Windows and replaces them with original versions if necessary. It seems like it WAS necessar...

I also have some of my fonts now showing up as "Not Accessible" in MainType, but I usually can open them with Font Creator. Then Windows refuses to load them, so they somehow don't meet the specifications (in other words they are corrupt). The original poster send me some fonts, and since...
