This request is out of scope of FontCreator. You should prepare the image you want to import through your image editing software. Apply filters, or whatever is needed to clean it up. That way you have endless ways to improve your image.

Just mouse over (or click) the Quote or Edit button, and you'll see it in the status bar.

I'm running FontCreator on Windows Vista without any problems. Maybe you have anti-virus software that causes the delays/ hangs.

I suggest you get Microsoft Visual OpenType Layout Tool (VOLT).

You should first install the latest version. Your version is outdated. Next take a close look at OpenType layout features. Just search this forum and you'll discover several posts that might help.

Sure just download MainType from our download page and then follow the activation process as explained in the message you received right after you ordered the software. To be sure I've just resent the message.
