OK, it was a good gag, but we probably shouldn’t encourage him!

What font is this?
The sample below immediately reminded me of ITC Anna, but that isn’t it! Can anyone here identify it for me?

Re: Is .notdef required or not?
I think I'll make a box w/question mark for my .notdef, but apart from that I have four other empty glyphs... .null nonmarkingreturn space nbspace I remember adding in that last one based on your advice/tutorial. :) What's .null for, though? Something similar to .notdef? And nonmarkingreturn -- is ...

Re: Osborne Lights Font from Walt Disney World
OPTIKipling isn't an exact match — in particular, it’s too oblique and the crossbar on the /t is (much) too heavy — but in other respects it’s pretty close, especially the capital letters, and it’s free!

Re: Spinner Controls
I agree. It would be best to implement it the way it works in adobe softwares - where you click on the icon/placeholder of the input, and then drag up or down for increase/decrease in number. But a wheel could work too I haven’t used a mouse in years, and my trackball doesn’t have a scroll wheel, s...

Re: Typekit & Google?
To integrate with Typekit officially, you have to jump through some Adobe hoops that usually aren't easy and often have bugs. You can unofficially integrate with Typekit by adding the following sync folder to MainType (%APPDATA% is the AppData folder for your user): %APPDATA%\Roaming\Adobe\CoreSync...

Re: How to convert 3/4 to proper fractions?
When I type a letter, lets say for example "A". I like in the main overview window (where you see all the present glyphs) that the corresponding "A" glyph will be highlighted. I tried everything but could not find it. Can you tell me how this is accomplished? If you press Ctrl+F...

Re: need to restart application everytime
Which version of MainType are you using? Not that it should matter. Auto-update of the font list has worked for many years. My apologies. I allowed myself to get confused between the behaviour due to MainType and the behaviour due to PagePlus! If I install a new font via Windows Font Viewer, PagePl...

1. Because she is in primary school in Botswana, she write numbers a little bit differently that we are used too. The differences are mainly with the numbers "1" and "7". So I will make the numbers in this font exactly the same as she write them for homework. 2. I will also chan...

Re: Thick strokes in different sizes
The fix is to enable Hinting in the font export settings dialogue. This requires the use of Truetype outlines, as CCF Postscript outlines do not support hinting. OT/CFF Fonts do actually support hinting, but the hinting ‘intelligence’ is mainly in the rasterizer rather than the font itself. I presu...

Re: need to restart application everytime
No such problem here. Fonts appear/disappear from my application's font menu when I instal/uninstall. Tested with Serif PagePlus X9 on Windows 10 latest update. I have never seen newly installed fonts in PagePlus (or any other ‘Plus’ application) until the next time I launch it. Serif’s Affinity ap...
