Re: Glyph name readout when selecting class members
The dialog can be resized, and one can filter the glyphs by name. Since I usually know the name of the glyph for which I am searching, I just start typing on opening the Select Class Member dialog. Not only does it save time, it also shows up which glyphs have not already been added to the glyph cl...

Glyph name readout when selecting class members
Hi, If it's not too much to ask, could you please provide a name readout when a single glyph is selected in the class members dialog? Smaller zoom sizes are desirable to see many glyphs at once. The drawback, of course, is that longer glyph names get cut off. Providing some kind of readout would hel...

[FIXED] Parsing error in code editor
Hi,
In this latest update (.2645), I'm getting error messages from parsing in the code editor. I verified previous versions of my font (prior to this update) and they all show this dialog. I've not had any issues of the sort before this update.
Program bug?

Thanks ErwinErwin Denissen wrote: ↑Sat May 30, 2020 7:50 am It is a bug, as initially Cursive Positioning lookup is selected, and it remains selected. For now, first select another lookup from the left (GPOS) list of options, and then select another one from the right side (GSUB).

[FIXED] Can't create new lookups under certain features (13.0.0.2645)
Hello, With this latest update (13.0.0.2645), I'm no longer able to create a new lookup under certain features. For example, I should be able to create a chained context substitution under the Cursive Positioning feature. But when I try, I'm always given a cursive attachment lookup instead. I trust ...

Re: OTD search bar, preview text selection, copy/paste and praise!
We have just released another update, coming with support for drag and drop for lookups in the OpenType Designer. Erwin, This is fabulous work. Thanks for listening and implementing our requests :) I see you've also stabilized the tree from jumping up erratically when one moves a lookup with the ar...

Re: entering advance width values into exit cursive attachments
No, this is not possible right now. Thanks for your reply. Is there a way to assemble a list of values from a selection of glyphs, so that I can try to edit them in an external app. edit: ok, I've completed my task, but have had to do so by creating a cursive lookup, add my glyphs, enter the editor...

entering advance width values into exit cursive attachments
I'm sure it's in the program somewhere, but is there a way to automatically enter a glyph's advance width values as exit "x" values for a cursive attachment lookup? I've been entering these values tediously, one by one, up till now. I've searched through the manual but can't get any clarif...

Re: Mass transfer of value fields ?
If a kerning lookup has any XPlacement Values, the Show Advanced Settings checkbox will disappear and the pos lookups will all have four values like this (I added an XPlacement value of 5 for @hyphen @J_Caps). subtable "Subtable Hyphen" { pos @hyphen @J_Caps <5 0 -124 0> <0>; pos @hyphen ...

Mass transfer of value fields ?
Hello, Does Font Creator allow the facilitation of transferring values from one value field to another for numerous pairs? For example, if I wish to transfer all my right side "XPlacement" values to the left XAdvance, can this be done as a mass edit for all affected pairs in a lookup (or, ...

Re: OTD search bar, preview text selection, copy/paste and praise!
The dialog presumably uses standard Windows controls, so I suspect they may be hard to change. To avoid losing preview text strings, add your own in Tools, Options, Preview. These strings are used in both the Preview Toolbar and the OpenType Designer. Copy them to the User Data folder if you want t...

OTD search bar, preview text selection, copy/paste and praise!
First off, if you haven't already updated to FC13 or are still thinking about it, I would highly recommend doing so...or at the very least give the demo a run. It's really that good, and it's especially solid in its current version. Many thanks to the support team who have addressed my issues to dat...
