Re: Assigning key strokes
You could also consider making a specific keyboard layout. I guess that has some benefits, but it depends on your exact needs.

Re: How to make a contextual cursive font
The space character contains incorrect codepoints: $00, $08, $09, $0D, $1D It should only contain $20. You can simply replace them through the glyph properties tool window. The fastest way is to just click the "Auto complete code points based on glyph name" button. Don't forget to also cli...

Re: How to make a contextual cursive font
I see. You removed the first couple of glyphs, and especially the first (.notdef) is extremely important. I urge you to put it back (just insetrt a glyph at the top and provide a meaningful outline) and see if that solves the problem.

Re: Color font on Word 2010
I don't think Word 2013 supports color fonts. The color font technology is adopted very slowly.

Re: How to make a contextual cursive font
I don't have time to investigate the font, but I suspect this is happening: Word auto-magically replaces plain quote characters with smart quotes, which are not included in your font. And while Word tries to be smart, it then decides to use a fallback font :? You can add "left and right single ...

Re: Can Fonts Be save as only a TTF font
If I'm correct they are talking about the font name, not the file name.MikeW wrote:Ah, a happy ending. Thanks for the update.
It boggles me that any company would adhere to legacy file naming in 2015 for reading fonts (much less anything else).
And yes, it is good news that the problem is now solved!

Re: Registration code won't work
As I said in the first post, I used that link already. It sent me the code to my email, I copied and pasted the code into the box and then got the message already mentioned. Better also use the download link for the corresponding version that we also provide in that email. I believe I bought versio...

Re: Export selected glyph names
I understand the need, but it would help if we know if more people want such feature. Maybe others want to export codepoints, left or right side bearings, etc. We could provide some Glyph Export feature through the Tools menu. I guess that once we provide it, more people will also be interested in s...

Re: How to start FMS Proxy?
As mentioned here the problem was solved by an uninstall and reinstall of MainType.
To start FmsProxy, go to the Windows Start menu -> All Programs -> High-Logic MainType -> High-Logic FmsConfig

Re: Reinstall Questions, v6.0
Somehow the FmsProxy failed to run. Fortunately we were able to solve the issues pretty easy. In case you encounter the same problem with FmsProxy, do uninstall MainType (when asked, don't delete the database), and then reinstall. The other problem was kind of funny, as somehow the preview text in t...

Re: h/l upgrade 5 to 6 ,vault not finding older vault entries
When you have MainType 5 running on your system, and then install version 6, it should automatically upgrade your existing font data. Obviously this didn't work on your system, so I wonder why. Did you uninstall version 5 before installing version 6? The database and other data are located at C:\Pro...

Re: Font "investigate" utility
There are several reasons why it didn't make it into recent versions of MainType.
- Many fonts contain invalid or incomplete PANOSE information
- Sorting seems smart, but it is actually not helpful in most cases
- It would take additional development time and would also slow things down
