All other hinting is replaced, as it ensures the aimed height for sub sets of characters remain the same.

Thank you for sending the font file to me. Since it exports just fine on my computer, I guess we have fixed this issue in the mean time. So please update to the latest version of FontCreator, and try again.

You can also insert characters as a range.

Confirmed. This bug will be fixed with the next upcoming release.

Before MainType can install a newer version, MainType has to know about the updates you've made. This can be done by selecting Refresh Fonts Folders from the Tools menu.

Let us know your results. If it still fails let me know and I'll contact you to further look into this issue.

I've taken a short look, and did see the italic version has defined the Preferred Subfamily. italic.png On my Windows 7 system it doesn't seem to be an issue, as MainType shows all 4 fonts just fine, but I suggest your leave that field empty, and then rein...

I suspect the Italic version has an issue, and makes Windows thinks it is the regular version.

Can you show or send us information about the italic version? Or send all four font project files to me?

Can you also let us know what version of FontCreator you used? You can see the exact version in the about box.

We intend to change to the docking and panel layout that we already have implemented in MainType, but not for the short term.

Can you send the font file to me, so I can try to reproduce the issue?

I like the idea of making this easier. Since we will improve glyph naming next week this might be something to think about as well.
