Spacing is one of the hardest things to get right. Try using the Comparison Toolbar and scroll through your font checking how each glyph looks next to the comparison glyphs. Then try with a different pair, e.g. Capitals. http://forum.high-logic.com/postedimages/comparison.png Adjusting the position ...

Re: My Useless Fonts
From the Tao Te Ching Thirty spokes share the wheel's hub; It is the center hole that makes it useful. Shape clay into a vessel; It is the space within that makes it useful. Cut doors and windows for a room; It is the holes which make it useful. Therefore benefit comes from what is there; Usefulnes...

Thanks for moving your post. Since those Greek letters don't exist in your font, you have to draw them. Either draw them on paper and scan them in, or draw them with the drawing tools on the Glyph Toolbar. You can copy the Greek letters from my font if you like, but they may not match your font perf...

Re: it does't help
You can send your font to me to look at. If it is big, zip it up first. 7-zip is best at compressing Truetype fonts though plain zip is also fine.tova sagi wrote:Thank you for your fast reply, I did everything you suggested, but it didn't help. It seems to me something basic is wrong

Take a look at the Frequently Asked Questions for some explanation of Typographical terminology. You can post your font in the Gallery if you want some feedback. If you have no webspace on which to host it you can send it to Erwin.

Design of Common Ligatures
I'm still undecided on how best to design ligatures. I have opted for a design that doesn't alter the letter spacing. Here are some I designed for Verajja, my version of Bitstream Vera. The top row is plain text, the second row is Verajja ligatures, the third row is DejaVu ligatures. Which design do...

Nice work. That must have taken you a while. Did you start in April 2004? The set of fonts work well together. I gave it a bit more leading than 60% — about 75% prevents the collisions which I am sure occur sometimes on real manuscripts. Scott Script.png The italic (2nd and 4th paragraphs) reminds m...
