Could you add some information as to what you mean by "pages" please?
For example, are you trying to use the font in a desktop publishing package to produce a pdf document or what?

I posted some notes about my ideas for what I call mathematical pseudo-hinting in the Discussion forum in a thread entitled Lack of Clarity of Fonts about a month ago. http://forum.high-logic.com/viewtopic.php?t=876 Also, I mentioned in this thread that the Microsoft platform uses 16 pixels for 12 p...

This may be like my mathematical pseudo-hinting effect in reverse! Are you using a PC with a Microsoft platform? If you were to try making your symbols vertically 2048 font units and horizontally a multiple of 256 font units, then you might get better results. Thus a square element would be 2048 uni...

> Do you guys think it's better to use extended characters, or make several fonts that work together? My feeling is that it depends upon what you want to do. For example, if you are offering people the chance to use glyph variants for use in producing a pdf document using a desktop publishing packag...

I had not heard of the PANOSE system before. It is very interesting. Thank you for your document.
A system with a somewhat similar-sounding name about which some readers may like to know is the Pantone system, which is used for describing colours.

The Tomatoes Oranges and Limes version 0.02 font is now available on the web. Please note that this font is 190 kilobytes due to the large number of contours and points for each glyph. This font is still in development. It contains a selection of characters, though hopefully sufficient for stylish d...

Tomatoes Oranges and Limes font
I have been designing a font named Tomatoes Oranges and Limes. A test of the font is available on the web. http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~ngo/TOL2.PDF The file is downloadable from the following page. http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~ngo/fonts.htm An interesting test is to display the file at 10...

I have been having a look at the Verajja:Version 1.10 font. I tried it in Word 97 on a Windows 98 machine and tried Insert | Symbol to have a look at what selection of characters is present in the font. I was testing at 24 point. Word 97 was in Normal view at 100%. I looked for the Esperanto accents...

An interesting optional adaptation to the tutorial could be as follows. When drawing out the alphabet, instead of just drawing the letters, try drawing some of them with accents. This means that the accents are drawn to a correct scaling and positioning. Once imported into Font Creator 5.0 the accen...

Amazing animated graphic.
I was having a look at the Decode Unicode webspace at http://decode.meso.net this morning and found a link to the Typo Berlin webspace at http://www.typo-berlin.de and there found an amazing animated graphic.
I thought that perhaps some readers here might like to know of this.

Regarding the mathematical pseudo-hinting technique. A few days ago I was updating my Quest text font and I remembered Font Creator 5.0 has the facility to adjust the grid setting to 256 font units. I then had a look at some characters from Quest text using the following settings in the Grid Options...

The SC UniPad program may be of interest. http://www.unipad.org There is a Control-Q function for inputting a Unicode character. The program uses its own built-in font. One can copy and paste into other applications, such as WordPad. I have used WordPad for entering Private Use Area characters, thou...

I have just uploaded version 2.01 of Quest text to the web. Version 2.00 was not published. There are no new glyphs added, yet I have now improved the font so that there are now no errors reported at validation. I have also uploaded updated versions of Quest Chess, Poetical, Chronicle Text, Gothic S...

Thank you for your kind comments about my Stones font. I have managed to spend some time today on the font and earlier this evening I uploaded version 0.02 to the web.
