Re: Opera Doesn't Like autohinting in WOFF fonts
I am now indeed seeing that it is not working, however I don't have a clue as to why. Both FireFox and the official W3C WOFF validator indicate the font is compliant to the W3C specification. Must be a bug/unsupported feature in Opera then.

Re: Adding OpenType features: Long GSUB Strings
it will only work when mapped to the fi or fl substitutes in the trial version. Also, some applications require you to explicitly enable certain features for a selected piece of text.
If you are on Windows Vista or 7, you can also use the font test dialog (F5) to test your ligature.

The help files will be fixed by a maintenance release later today but this should get you started
Edit: Seems Bhikkhu Pesala beat me to it again
Code: Select all
script latn {
feature Ligatures;
}
feature Ligatures liga {
lookup LigaLookup;
}
lookup LigaLookup {
sub t e s t -> fi;

It looks to be working fine here in opera 12.15:
Maybe it's related to Opera running on Windows XP?

The truetypeviewer can be downloaded here: http://home.kabelfoon.nl/~slam/fonts/truetypeviewer.html In the last mail I sent you I thought that contextual lookups were the way to go, but as Bhikkhu Pesala nicely presented it's also possible with chained contextual lookups and hence you can use the to...

Re: Search for a character in all fonts
I need to know which of my fonts contain a particular character. There seems to be no simple way to do that. "Search for a character in all fonts" would be a VERY useful feature in MainType! And easy to implement too, I'd think. Unfortunately this is not easy to implement. MainType curren...

Re: What group a font has been assigned to?
You can't see it in the font list (only if it is grouped or not), however you can see it in the font information panel. If you select a font, the groups this font has been assigned to are listed at the very bottom.
