My first guess is that the problem is with the Postscript names that you're using. I think they are not permitted to contain spaces.

From the Format menu, Post, try Force Valid Names.

Your question is unclear. What are you trying to achieve? Is this normal text, or some mapping symbols? The x,y origin of a glyph is the cursor position to the left of the character on the baseline. If you rotate any character, it will rotate about the origin. I think you want to position the centre...
