Advanced Naming not showing

Hi, I’m a new user whose recently created her first font (for the most part successfully), however, I’m having trouble getting the Advanced Naming properties to “stick.” That is to say, I input the necessary information, run the auto-naming wizard, save the font, and preview the TTF.

Despite including the designer name and company information, I’m still getting the “Typeface (c) (your company). 2007. All Rights Reserved.” in the preview.

I was wondering if there are restrictions on the program for demo users (my trial isn’t up yet, so I have no purchased the full edition as of yet.) Or if I’m doing something wrong?

Thanks in advance,

-Kira

There are no restrictions on the Demo version. Enter the correct details once in Tools, Options, Naming, then they will automatically be applied to all new fonts you create. If you don’t want that, then uncheck the option.

Everything’s set up, both in Advanced Naming, and under the Tools > Options > Naming, and it’s still not displaying in the preview.

I also tried copying the glyphs over to a new document, running the autonaming wizard with those settings saved, but to no avail.

How are you previewing the font? If you use Font View from Windows Explorer, you will be previewing the installed version, not the one that you open from Windows Explorer.

Uninstall the font, reinstall it, and look again.

Wooo!

I was opening the .ttf from the work folder to which I’d saved it, but I did uninstall/reinstall to the fonts folder anyway, and it shows now.

Thanks!
