After exporting my font, it has extra "digits" in the name

I have been working on a set of layered fonts, and one is ending with 2A and the other 2B.
However, when I look at the fonts in Word or PaintShop Pro, it lists the names with extra digits after the name I gave.

Where are those coming from? Where can I remove them?

Looking further, it seems to happen only when I have the Font tester window open.
Is that the case? And those digits are only a “temporary” situation but won’t appear in the exported font itself?

Correct. This feature allows you to test the font in your favourite applications while the Font Test window is open, even before you have exported it.
