After newest update maintype doesn't work.

Yesterday I installed the newest update for maintype, a program I use for my work as a digitizer. But after installing the program is going to read all the fonts on my external harddrive, after two minutes the program gives me a message in red… And I have to close the program. I tried systeemherstel, but then I got the message that the database is newer than the program and I had to close the program… Then I downloaded maintype from the website, but still I get the error message… (a year ago I had a problem with Fontcreator, which didn’t and does not work after an update… I bought maintype and that program did work properly until I installed the update. )
I hope someone would like to help me to solve this big problem, because I have to look for a font which I need to digitize…

This is the text in the red screen, when I would like to open maintype.

MainType has lost the connection to the font service. Please restart the font service through the FMSConfig utility and then restart MainType. If this problem persists, please contact customer support through our website at http://www.high-logic.com

When I restarted FMSConfig I get this message when I want to start maintype:

Transaction rollback failed!

Thank you for allowing us access to your computer. It allowed us to locate and fix the issue. Enjoy the software!

I am having trouble installing the latest update (4.5.0.363). I’m using Windows 7 64 bit. The update seems to download OK. When it gets to the point where the program is supposed to restart, I don’t see anything happening. When I reboot, the program is at its old version (4.5.0.357)

Help!

If you are familiar with Windows Task Manager, you could end the following process before starting MainType. That probably ensures a smooth install.

Alternatively, you could uninstall MainType, and then reinstall the latest version. When uninstalling, don’t delete your current data. Here are the steps to uninstall:

The last step, click the No button to keep all your data and settings.

Then download and install the latest version from our website.

Thanks. Uninstalling and reinstalling did the trick.
