Hey all, my previous problem is solved and got (I hope) only one thing left…
I loaded the “Microsoft Sans Serif” font (everyone should have this)
I did nothing except add one empty box, and then filled it with a character from another font. (correctly mapped this time)
I just changed the font name from “Microsoft Sans Serif” to “Microsoft Sand Serif DJK” and installed, all other settings I didn’t touch (so just altered 1 name)
Then saved and installed the font.
I can see both the original and my version of the font in my windows font folder bu no program sees my version, only the original … what’s happening ? I guess cause I didn’t differiantate my font enough from the orignal or something ?
added the charachters (it are the same ones you did for me from the other font, but I want to display them at another location in my application to (in a grid to be correct) and that grid uses this font by default and I don’t want to change that to keep the uniform look of my program.

Format - Naming, changed “Include Full Font Name” by writing DJK after what is already in that box
Save As to a new file called “Microsoft Sans Serif DJK”, and installed the font
The easiest way to give your font a name is to use the AutoNaming wizard available from the Tools menu. This ensures valid and consistent values for your font’s naming fields.
It might perhaps help if you tried Save As to a file named MSSDJK01.TTF as that would make the file name eight characters long and have a .TTF file name extension.
It might be that the lack of a .TTF extension is the cause of the problem. However, maybe rightly or maybe too cautiously I always use no more than eight characters and usually eight rather than less than eight characters in the name of a font file. The use of a long file name with spaces in it may be alright but it would do no harm and might be of benefit if you renamed the file to have a name no longer than eight characters.
