I’m trying to use autometrics - optical feature for a typeface that has the lowercase letters identical to the uppercase letters but the autometric generates different results for the lowercase and uppercase letters although they are identical (composite glyph). Can I fix this or is there any workaround for this?
Also is there anything that can be done to speedup the process? I use a i7 CPU but running this autometrics has no impact on CPU
The algorithm tries to find and optimal based in the characters that cone before and after each character. If you want them to have equal outlines and equal bearings then assign both code point for A and a to a single glyph and do this for the whole alphabet.
Or copy and paste special to only copy/paste the glyph metrics.
