Black outline & fill inside

Hello,

can I edit/fill a font that has a black outline and the inside is transparent?
e.g. Cheri Font (http://www.dafont.com/cheri.font)

I need the black outline, but inside it has to be filled in red and not transparent.

Can I create it in Font Creator 7.5? and what are the steps to do it?

I am absolute beginner with Font Creator but expert in PS and Illustrator.

Colour can be added to any font in a suitable Windows application.

Most Truetype fonts are only one colour — black. Even the white is not really white, but transparent, which will show the page colour or paper colour when printed.

FontCreator can now create Coloured Truetype fonts, but they only work on Windows 8.1.

My brief review also shows an example of a coloured font, similar to what you seem to want.

And what application do you intend on viewing colored fonts in at this point in time?

Now use IE 11. Colored fonts will not show the color in Adobe applications. Nor any Windows desktop application I am aware of.
