Can square points (or nodes) be changed to round and vice ve

When editing a glyph, I noticed there are square points (or nodes) and round ones. I was wondering if square can be changed to round and vice versa. Because on curves there will be a square point (node) and it makes the curve look very choppy or pointy at that point, making the curve not so smooth looking. And when you go to edit that point (pulling it in or out) it makes it even more pointy.

Thanks,

The square points are “on-curve” points and the round ones are “off-curve”. If you right-click on the point, you can change which kind it is.

• You can also use the shortcuts On and off to change the points from on to off or vice versa,

• Shortcuts Q and W to select the next node.

• Up/down/left/right cursor will move the selected node(s) by 10 funits, control cursor will move by 1 funit.

• G will add orthogonal guidelines through one select node, or a diagonal guideline through two selected nodes

• A will add a node after the current selected node(s)

• D or delete will delete the selected node(s).
