Recently I have been unable to save any changes made to a font. I get a message telling me unable to save, this font may be in use somewhere else. It never is, and so what can I do to alter this please

It sounds like you’re trying to edit an installed font, that’s why you are getting the message. Save installed fonts as a copy first, and then edit. Always advisable to work from a copy anyway.
