Can anyone tell me why after editing a font and renaming it, the font still seems to retain it’s original name when you open up the file in font viewer. Because of this I can’t get the font to go into the fonts folder without me having to remove the original untampered version.
Please help me as I am new to this software and haven’t got a scooby doo what to do!

I just re-named the font when I went to save as. Should I have done it differently?
This is a common mistake; you did change the file name, not the font name. The font name is stored inside the font, so changing the file name won’t work. The easiest way to change the font name is to use the AutoNaming wizard available from the Tools menu.
