I have created my new font and viewed it, then saved it. Now I am ready to install it. It startes to install then I get, “Wrong registry key”
If I try installing it through the control panel I get a different error, “The file “filename.ttf” is currently being used and cannot be replaced. Wait until windows is finished using the file and then try again.” I have shut down and restarted to create a clean environment to no avail. Of course, I’ve tried many things and nothing helps.
Please help.
I use XP Pro and a P4 processor.
Maybe you have not enough privileges to add font related data to the registry.
Another possibility is a problem with other fonts already installed on your system. You could try to use FiFoFo (free download from our web site).
How to use it:
- Start Fifofo.exe
- Press the Ok button at the bottom of the “Read Me” Window.
- Press “Fix Fonts Folder”
- Wait until you see a list of fonts.
- Press “Save Report…” and select a filename
- Send this file to me so I can try and help you with the problem.
