[CLOSED] FontCreator 14 Crashes

FontCreator 14 crashes on opening “OpenType Designer” in font file attached for your reference.
FontCreator 13 works fine.

No crash here in the latest builds of FontCreator 14 (2886 or 2888).

I doubt it is related to that font, so we want look into this by providing an upcoming release for you to test.

It has many bug fixes and improvements, and is almost ready for official release.

We hope to have an update ready within an hour, and we will post a link to it here asap.

Here is an unofficial update with numerous improvements and bug fixes, so let us know your results.

Did you try the update we provided, version 14.0.0.2889?

If so, did it generate an error report?

The error report didn’t reveal the exact cause; only that FontCreator requires more resources than your system provides.

Can you please try this update:
FontCreator 14.0.0.2890 (64-bit)

FontCreator works very slowly.
I had typed few words for preview given below:

Gulzar contains so many OpenType layout features that is almost hits the limits of what you can store in a font. A normal font contains less than 100 lookups and subtables, while this specific font contains over 4500. Unfortunately too many for FontCreator to handle in a timely manner. Other font editors simply drop most of the lookups, so the font no longer works as intended. We don’t think that is a viable option.

Try to provide a shorter line of text, maybe just a single word, or use the Test Web Font feature to test longer lines of text in a web browser.
