Hi,
I have an problem with my font that i exported in FC-v14, the font looks perfect inside FC test window, and installed perfectly on my pc, and works in windows paint, but in apps like affinity designer the spaces of the font between glyphs not corrected, looks much convergent as not modified, I’m using arabic font, can you pls help to solve this issue?
Thanks.
If your fonts works in most places, then it is likely the external applications that fail to show your font correctly are the culprit.
Some applications can’t cope with our advanced way of compressing OpenType layout features, so you might want to uncheck that option. We introduced this option very recently. It is available in the Options dialog → Font tab.
Probably not related, but also ensure your font starts with a .notdef glyph.
Thanks for the reply, but i didn’t know where that option located to uncheck it?
My font starts with .notdef
Check for updates if you do not see this option.

Absolutely this option not available on this version, I’m gonna see, I will get back to you.
In most previous releases this option was disabled by default, so it probably won’t help you.
If the issue remains, do post a screenshot so we better understand the exact problem.
Unfortunately I unchecked this option but nothing changed, I feel so sick, spinning over 5 days harder on this font, staying until final point exporting, the results failed, I’m using affinity designer for all my stuff, so, I need it to be working on it as other fonts, anyway, I’m gonna test other alternative progs and let’s see.
I am sorry, but without more information we can’t further help. Do let us know if you find a solution.
