Are these fields something I am going to have to change every time I save a font, or is there some way I can set my info to “default” so it loads my info every time, instead of just the generic line that comes with the program [Typeface © (your company). 2006. All Rights Reserved]
Thanks so much for your help

Go to Tools, Options, Naming, and fill in the fields that you want to use. When you run the Autonaming wizard these new values will be used. The version information is changed on the Settings, Header page. Version 1.0 is named “Initial Release.”
Yes, but do I have to do this every time, with every font? I’ve made 85 fonts in the past week, and it’s kind of a pain to type in all that information every single time. Isn’t there a way to save it so it pulls it up every time?
If you are creating a new font, when you name it with the autonaming wizard, these fields will be filled in automatically.
Thanks, I did read that the first time, but it doesn’t work.
Just create a new font, copy your glyphs over, and run the naming wizard.
OH! Okay. It’s working now.
Thank you.
One more question…
When I was using Format, Naming, I was able to load a txt file for the copyright line. What I liked about this is that I was able to have line breaks in my copyright notice. Am I able to do that with the Tools, Options, Naming?

Did you see the option there to load a text file from disk, and save it to disk?
I think the naming wizard could be improved to allow the adding of fields to existing fonts, but one would need to have some checks to avoid replacing information that is already in the font.
Also don’t forget to copy the words into every platform. Autoname doesn’t propagate Copyright and Trade Marks.
