Hello,
How do I specify that a font is a “symbol” font? I’ve seen the need for this step referenced in a number of spots, but am still unsure of the specific procedure required.
Point this total beginner in the right direction, please!
I’m using FontCreator 12.0, home edition.

Symbol fonts are legacy, and no longer recommended. See the help file:
Thank you, that’s helpful! I see now where I can convert the font to a Unicode or Symbol font, and will choose Unicode going forward.
Good to know, I was given the option to save my stuff as Symbol or Unicode, and fortunately chose the latter as I’m more familiar with it (due to working with diffferent alphabets).
