Darkness and Thickness

Hello,
How can I increase the darkness or thickness of a font? Are there any options that will let me do either of these things? For instance, is there any option that will let me increase the darkness by a certain percentage?

Welcome BillySamus to the Forum.

Darkness or thickness of a font is easily changed using the Tools/Glyph Transformer. Under Available Features: pull down the Effects options, select Bold, press the Right Arrow to select the option. (Use the left arrow to remove any others). Dial in horizontal or vertical values. Press OK. It will be done.

I am not sure they are percentages but the change will be applied either to either the entire font or to selected individual glyphs.

If you do it too much, you can use Thin to make the character thinner. I’ve found doing things in smaller increments may take longer but I’m not going to drastically overshoot the effect I’m after.

We always warn that since the Glyph Transformer cannot be undone, be careful and be prepared to go back to a saved version in order to recover from some error.

I have also found sometimes individual points in a glyph will “go crazy” amd have to be manually adjusted. That is generally not a problem either.

Glyph Transformer does the work and is extremely easy to use.
