i am more than new at this. i do not know what “kerning” means.
i am trying to develop a font for a newspaper game and i do not intend to make this a lasting hobby is there any body around that wants to do a little work for me?
i only need 1 or 2 fonts

Hi FNG,

Fonting is a whole new world of words.

Open FC, click on Helps at the top of the page, Contents and Index, Index, and type in the word you aren’t familiar with.

For Kearning, “ke” is enough to pull up a list. Select Kearning and you will get a full page with visual examples. A small part of the page says:

“Kerning is the reducing/ increasing of the space allocated between two glyphs to make them fit more comfortably. Sometimes you want the bearings to be different in special situations. When you want to change the distance between two characters you could use kerning pairs. For example the A and the V could be closer (AV) together than TV.”
