Deleting Fonts from a network share

Hello,

I have all my fonts on a NAS. The database is on my system drive.

Now I wanted to delete the fonts that are duplicated. With the duplicate finder it is no problem to find them. But when I give the delete command, the fonts are deleted from the database, but not from the network share. So I’ve to do it by hand. That makes no sense.

I’ve full permissions on the NAS.

I’m MainType 10.0 Pro user.

They should be deleted, but the system sometimes refuses to grant a delete. We will do some more tests here to see if we can replicate the problem.

Thank you for the quick feedback.

Maybe it’s good to know. It’s a Synology DS 216+II with the latest DSM (6.2.4).

And have you found out anything yet?

I am quite disappointed. I bought the update to version 10 in the hope that it would work with this.

I have the feeling that instead of maintaining the versions properly, they prefer to throw new versions onto the market.

That is not a fair assessment. See the History of Changes. Each version gets several free updates. The High-Logic Team consists of one developer who also runs the business side of things, with some help from volunteer Beta testers. New versions always add new features, and often new bugs that need to be diagnosed and fixed.

Please be patient. It make take a while to find a solution.

I have send you a link to a new release which contains a fix. Let us know your results.

Please excuse my inappropriate posting.

With the new version, deleting from the NAS now works as expected.

Thank you very much.

No problem.

That is good news!

Enjoy the software.
