I intentionally have some duplicate fonts in folders on my hard drive. Now that I ave added these folders to MT4 how are the duplicates handled?
Since MainType 4 doesn’t handle folders but only fonts, there will only be one database entry (if they are “real” duplicates). If the fonts differ in any way (e. g. the version number), there will be as many entries as you have different versions of the font. The folders themselves will be left alone, so the duplicate font files will still be there.
If you chose to create font groups from the folder structure while importing the fonts, the duplicates will most probably show up in the corresponding groups, but there will still be only one database entry.
