Hi I currently use a specific font but needed to make the “/” thicker. I went into font editor and made the “slash” thicker, saved the font, deleted the original from the windows/fonts folder and then installed the revised font. I then went into Microsoft Word and the slash was still the old thickness? Is there something I have done wrong?
It sounds like you did it right. You can send the font to me if you cannot get it working.
It might help to reboot the PC after installing the font.
I am not certain that that will help, yet as you are reinstalling a font with the same name as was there before, it is possible that Windows might get a bit, shall we say, “indignant” about it!
Perhaps using Tools | AutoNaming… to change the name of the altered font to a name of which Windows has no prior knowledge might help, even if only as a temporary test to make sure that the change to the “/” glyph has been done correctly.
I hope that this helps.

Thank you! I did the auto name change and it worked!
