Embedding in PDF

Hello Forum

I have made a special font with FontCreator 6.0 for the ArcGis environment. For some reason this font will not embed when I export from ArcMap to PDF.
However, if I put my special Glyphs into an older font, created with FontCreator 5.6, the font will embed.

Both fonts have Font Embeddding Licensing Rights set to Preview & Print Embedding and Editable Embedding

Is there anything, I can do about that, or a good explanation?

I would prefer using a font made with FontCreator 6.0, since since its thumbnails look nicer in ArcMap.

I attached examples:
GEUS_PointSymbols.ttf (11.3 KB)
GEUS_PointSymbols_e.ttf (10.6 KB)

Best regards

Maybe because the Recommended Glyphs are missing?

After adding the first three glyphs (space is there already), the font embeds OK for me using PagePlus.

Hello Bhikkhu Pesala

Thanks for the answer.
I added 4 recommended glyphs, it did not help.

I have also made a brand new font with FontCreator 6.2, into which I copied my glyphs.
This one is not embeddable (from ArcMap) into PDF either.

I will send a note to ESRI’s forums also, they may have a clue.

Best Regards
