I know, that has been brought up before. But again: in some cases it would be helpfull to not only see the file name and location but also have a “explore” function, that opens the folder where the file is located. This is done so for example in Adobe Lightroom which is a database (SQLite) driven photo/image management software. It is helpful in cases where you need to copy/move the file for whatever reason.
I agree it can be very usefull, so we will reconsider adding it.
Great! One more reason to love Main Type…
Is this feature available in MainType 6?
This is only possible within a sync. font folder.
In all other situations, you can see the location (resource files), but you will have to manually open and browse your windows file explorer.
I don’t have the menu entry “Open Containing Folder”. This would be exactly what I was looking for. But how do I get this? I made sure, that I have the latest Version.
As Erwin said, you have to synchronise the Font Folder.
Go to Tools, Font Folder, to modify the settings for any of your registered font folders.
OK, got it, thanks for your clarification.
