When using FC13, large Asian fonts can be loaded easily. Today I updated to version 14, and it took me a whole 28 minutes to open a 22MB file. I hope this can be solved as early as possible.
Please tell us which font you tried to open.
I tested with the PMinglu Typeface collection (35,925 Bytes), which took about 1 minute to extract. Individual fonts from the collection then opened in seconds.
We can only look into the issue if we can reproduce it, so please send us the font file for testing purposes.

The loading bar would stop at around 90% for a long time.
