Font Becomes Blank

I downloaded the trial version of Font Creator 5.6 yesterday to try it out. I’m a graphic artist who uses CorelDraw. Years ago when I was bored I created a alphabet using symbols (looks kinda alien/hieroglyphic-ish). From CorelDraw I exported each character separately so I could import the image into Font Creator for each letter and number. I was able to do this with no problem and I was able to install and use the font. I only used SPACE, PERIOD, numbers 0 through 9 and letters A through Z (copied and pasted for lower case letters). I deleted all the other characters and it worked perfectly fine.

Then I remembered the HYPHEN symbol. I opened the font and added that glyph with all the same settings it had if I had started a new font (to make sure it was accurate) and when I uninstalled the original font to install this new updated font it was blank. When I double-click the actual font file to open it in the Font Preview it doesn’t show any of the characters. It’s just a blank white window (and it’s not frozen). In the Font Creator program when I go to “Test Font” everything works perfectly. When I go to “Validate” it doesn’t find any problems. I even checked to “Fix detected problems” and there is nothing for it to fix.

I then tried to just scrap that file altogether and redid the font from scratch. Going through each character and importing the image for each character and everything just as I did the very first time I created the font. Only this time I tried not deleting all the other characters that I was not using.

Did I do something wrong somewhere? No matter what I do when I try to save THIS font it shows up blank. If I open another and modify it and save it as a new name it works fine.

This problem sound like it should be solved by rebooting your PC and/or reinstalling the font. If it previews in FontCreator Test Font then the temporary font is being installed OK. Attach the font if you are still having trouble.
