Font is Created & Saved, but Cannot install!

I created a font, saved it & tried to use the auto naming wizard, but when I think I have changed all of the relevant fields & try to install, nothing happens. I am changing existing fonts. I want to keep both, but instead when I tried renaming my font so they could both exist but instead neither is available now. I understand that there are 2 names that need to be changed before a font can be used, but I don’t know where & which names to change. The auto naming wizard is confusing & I’m not sure which categories I need to change.
I’m sure there is a simple solution to make this work & it’s driving me CRAZY that I cannot find the solution on these forum boards. PLEASE HELP!!!

The only name you need to change on the Autonaming wizard is the Font Family name presented on the first dialogue. The wizard allows users to modify other naming fields, but there is no need to — they are filled in automatically from the information found in the Format, Naming dialogue.

Then, you need to save the Truetype font file with a new name.

Font Naming

For the Windows (Unicode or Symbol) Platform these naming entries for English - United States should be available:• Font Family Name
• Font Subfamily Name
• Unique Font Identifier
• Full Font Name
• Version String
• Postscript Name
All these fields should be present, Window 95 etc don’t care about these fields but Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Windows XP really expect these fields - without these fields installation will fail.
