FontCreator 15 color trouble

Hello sirs , I purchased Font Creator 15 Professional Edition some days ago . I tested it about two month ago as 30 days free version .
At that time I made some glyphs ( capital letters ) using an external graphic editor , import images on FontCreator , fit the size on Glyph Panel , change to COLR by button Color mode , and finally buttons " Run font validation wizzard " transform wizzard " and " Install current font " . Exported the file on ather PC and Typed something using Word , I had to manually set the color but worked .
This morning , I wanted do some more character but , when I try to change to COLR the Glyph Panel become full white , the Glyph disappear and cannot find a way to step it out . ( even lost a day struggling to find a hint on manual or net and AI )

Do you want to make an OpenType COLR font? If so, does the specific glyph already have color members?

See this tutorial:
https://www.high-logic.com/font-editor/fontcreator/tutorials/create-opentype-color-fonts

Also make sure the View → Glyph Display Mode is set to Auto.

If that doesn’t help, then do show a screenshot.

Hello mr.Erwin , I’m an old guy but this is something new at me , I actually didn’t know what means OpenType COLR font . ( this I learned by the tutorial of your link but do not solve my problem ) Cannot find any setting or way to set glyph’s color members and yes Glyph Display Mode is set to Auto.
I actually don’t need a real multicolor Font , I only would like this font to be red as default if is possible .

please see the attachment for screen shots.

Ps. About your user manual , I would say is very big and by menu I didn’t find what i was looking for , I just think if you could provide a downloadable PDF your user could put it in some AI app and then just interrogate it avoiding waste of time .

Big thanks,
Marco B.
Gliph Display mode is in auto.pdf (972 KB)

The Masters and Layers panel is primarily useful for variable fonts, so you can safely close it if you’re not working with variable fonts.

Regarding creating color glyphs, there are a couple of methods that turn your glyph into a color glyph.

The recommended way:
Right-click within the Glyph Panel after importing your glyph outline. Select “Colorize” from the context menu. This action will add the glyph as a color glyph member and automatically set the color mode to COLR.

Alternative way:
Switch to COLR mode using the toolbar. Open the Glyph Members palette. Manually add your glyph to create the desired color layer.

Most of this is covered in this part of the user manual:
https://www.high-logic.com/fontcreator/manual15/colorglyphscolr.html

Let me know if something is unclear in the manual, so we can improve it!

Hope this helps! If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask.

OK , now is working .
But not exactly in the way described there .

The easiest way to create a color version of a glyph is to select the Colorize option from the right-click menu when editing a glyph. This will automatically add the current glyph and assign a single color to it. <<

As I clicked COLORIZE ( only the first time ) appeared the Glyph in black color , the paint bucket became active and I had to fill the glyph ( once the first character is red then the rest will colorize automatically red ).
Anyway , I’m almost sure that I tried even yesterday with the right click and got just a little window ( Add , Color , Order ) click on Color and get another little window ( Decolorize , Convert COL… , SVG ) . Now I suspect the palette Color had been set on WHITE and that was the real problem . ( just clicking different color on the palette do not change automatically the glyph color , must fill it manually in order to activate a new color ).

Best Regards and many thanks for help .
