Fonts I export aren't displaying properly in font manager (NexusFont)

I edited some font files in FontCreator, just changing their filename structure (family name/subfamily name) and exported them (OTF/TT), keeping all of the same settings as the original font (glyph order, kerning, etc).

I use a font manager for Windows called NexusFont, and now the font files I exported from FC won’t display properly in the text preview (the letters are displaying as a generic font, Arial).

Anyone know why this is happening?

The fonts are properly installed and I have already tried restarting.

Did you uninstall/unload the original versions of the fonts in NexusFont before installing the new ones?

Yes I did.

However, I ended up installing the latest version of the program (NexusFont) and that fixed the problem!
