Generate Glyph using Multiple Keystrokes

Hi, all.

I’m creating a conlang with a linguistics classmate of mine.

I’m wanting Font Creator to generate a glyph for the phoneme ‘che.’ While I have individual characters for c, h, and e, I have a separate character for ‘che.’

Is there a way to have it so that when I type c-h-e, the one character for ‘che’ appears instead of the individual characters for c, h, and e?

Thanks

You need to add a standard ligature OpenType feature.

FontCreator can do this automatically for common ligatures like f+f+i = ffi ligature. All you need to do is add a similar glyph substitution for c+h+e = che.
