New, recent pro buyer. Looks like a great tool, but I’m having a couple of issues. (The other I’ll note separately.)
I’ve gone to the “Tools” menu, selected “options” and moved to the “Naming” tab. I’ve selected the copyright check and set that as desired, and saved. But when I open the saved font, I get a “Typeface @Your Company” when I double click the font file (.ttf) Also, I’m trying to note the license as CC-BY-SA in the same dialog, but I don’t see that when I double click the font file either. What am I missing? Thanks!
Since you created the font BEFORE you set the Tools/Options/Naming those values would not be shown retroactively in your font.
The Tools/Options/Naming values are the patterns used for all new fonts and therefore are designed to be generic to all fonts. Names and descriptions specific to individual fonts are stored and maintained in Format/Naming.
Note: Names can be set for each Platform and for consistency should be set (copied) for each Platform. Check also the Advanced tab for a “page 2” group of Names.
