I did a search and saw this seems to be an ongoing issue with your software . The last forum post was in 2020, so here we are again. It sits Processing font operation on version 12.0.0.1318 (64 bit) as well.

I don’t think the number of views means much. Probably mostly bots crawling the site.
I looked before, and have not experienced the issue, so I have little to add.
The number of fonts in your library could be a factor. When you say that MainType hangs, does it eventually recover? If so, after how long? Or does it freeze completely?
I have about 60,000 fonts, however I dont load all of them. I usually load about 2200-2300. Ive checked the font files and no errors. It hangs for about 2hours then usually will be ok afterwards. When you show up to work, can you afford to wait 2 hours to do work? Thats the issue I have. 2 hours isnt acceptable for software like this.
I can imagine this is a very annoying issue, but we are not able to reproduce it without further information.
Does it only happen when you load a huge selection of font files, or is it also an issue with indexing, installing, uninstalling?
Is browsing and searching also problematic?
What are the settings of the font folders inside MainType?

Im not sure what you mean by a huge selection. I have a folder where I only load about 3000- 3500 fonts total at a time. No issue with indexing, or anything else. Its only when it first loads them. Browsing is not an issue and is pretty fast. Everything worked fine on my old Windows 10, it didnt start happening till I had to go to Windows 11.
The screenshot doesn’t show anything unexpected, so can you describe the exact steps that result in the hanging issue?
It could be a bug in MainType, but it’s also possible that you have one or more corrupt fonts that are causing your video driver to crash.
Only time it happens is when I initially open the app, right click on my separate folder “Everyday Used Fonts” and load them. Once its loaded everything is fine.
Problem is, most of my programs (Adobe, Corel, FlexiSign, Affinity Design) all rely on the fonts to be loaded before I can open any of my files Im working on. So this means, I have to wait till its done before I can get started.
Im not showing any Invalid Font Resources. Ive tried to go through to see if there is anything corrupt, but cant find anything.
I used the exact same setup on my Win 10 machine and it didnt do this. I needed more processing so I went a new i9 but has Win 11 on it.
This sounds really like a corrupt or too complex font for your system to handle.
