Hi, I have a bunch of ttl fonts that Adobe PhotoShop CS isn’t reading. Is FCP able to change the fonts to Open Type or another type of font that PhotoShop will be able to read?
Help I’m desperate!!
Thanks

ttl ? Do you mean ttf ?
If they were named wrong you can re-name them in CFP.
At the Top of the Forum, select Search and type in naming. You should find most of your answers.

oops…ya i meant ttf …what do you mean by renaming them? Can you change the type just by renaming them?
No, Sorry, a rose by any other name remains a rose.
There appeared to be two possibilities with your problem. A. Your Font or B. Your Program.
A. Sometimes people use windows SAVE to change the name of a font. That does not work.

B. Programs get damaged by viruses etc. and sometimes need to be re-installed.
If your problem is A, using the FCP Naming function would clear that up. If your fonts work in other applications, that is not your problem.
Can you open any fonts with your program? I am not familiar with it.
I open a glyph with FCP, Print Screen, Paste into Corel Photo Paint, manipulate it however I want, then paste it back into my font.
What are you trying to do?
ya the problem is the font…Adobe PhotoShop won’t read ttf’s so I’m trying to figure out a way to change the font format into open type if that’s possible…
Sorry, I tried to back page and edit and generated multiple copies of my reply. See what you can learn without even trying? Open Type still has the .ttf extension.
Ariel is an Open Type. Can you open it?
Perhaps you could send me a font you are having the problem with? Erwin is a better choice, but I’ll give it a bit of a go.

What do you mean with this? AFAIK Adobe PhotoShop supports TrueType fonts.
