How do I?

Hi, I"m new to this whole Font Creating thing…but I wanted to create this font that I hand drew…

I understand how to ‘outline’ the fonts, but I don’t understand how when working with say a small ‘e’ how can I get the inside of the ‘e’ without creating a line across the rest of the letter?

Hope I made myself clear…

Thanks for any help

Just open the user manual (Start → Programs → High-Logic → Font Creator User Manual) and start reading from page 33 (Editing Glyphs). Especially the part about contours should help.

right…been there too…couple times…LOL

:unamused:

hmm…ok, I trace my graphic with the lines…going counterclock wise, then I want to start going clockwise…

how do I start without it blacking (or whiting) out the image entirely?

I didn’t see anything if I had to hold down a key to start a new line…so to speak.

I assume you are trying to create your glyph by adding new contours.

To add a contour:
Choose Contour in the Insert menu. During this operation a left mouse-click creates a point onto the contour and a right mouse-click creates a point off the contour (used to create a Bézier curve). Press the Apply button (or click on the first point) to finish the contour.

For a small letter e, you need to add two contours.

Thanks…I’ll try that

Hopefully that will help my predicament…
